The advert seems quite detailed (it says item is located in Manchester, but a Thailand address appears at the bottom). Can't find any reference to a phone interface; it seems you plug one end of the lead into the unit and the other end into the car. It is battery powered and has a range of features and variables - but for £20??. What I thought was a phone in the advert is in fact a case to keep it in. I just don't want to mess anything up on the car electronics so I will follow BJS's view unless someone has actually got one and uses it.
Quite agree on gauges. I prefer a gauge to a warning light so I can make my own mind up.

Admin, this thread's gone a bit off course so could you start a new thread about "Head Up Display, Temperature etc" and move the relevant posts to that thread. It would help greatly if ever looking back for it. Thanks, Victor

The other thing I don’t like you have to stick a film on windscreen for the display Going by the info it’s just plug in run cable to stick display sender and stick film on screen so driver can see the display 😧🤞hopefully it works without causing problems to electrical modules etc and ECU

Are 'Vic' (the Guest) and 'victor' (the new member) one and the same? Yes, it was me all right. I think a new thread should be opened up and all the posts on here about Head Up Displays moved there. What say you Admin?
