That's a good idea, I never thought of that but together they would look pretty good and at an affordable price, I guess the only issue would be where to mount the dial and pod.

Very cheap and easy to install. I only decided to get one as I have recently had my car remapped so just want to keep an eye on it’s boiling temp lol. I have put mine in between the trip computer and steering wheel 👌

I'd be interested in a coolant temperature gauge myself. Can't figure out why they gave me an outside air temp gauge instead, not as if the atmosphere is going to overheat, boil up and evaportate, is it? Not for a few million years yet anyway

Not for a few million years yet anyway Lol 😂 when I have some free time I will make a detail post on how to fit this temp gauge it’s a life saver as I couldn’t find the hidden water temp in the settings and theses cars are known for setting on fire 🔥 so would rather be safer

Just thinking, since the car's already fitted with an outside air temp gauge, how difficult a job would it be to unplug that and plug it into an engine sensor instead? Would be fine and handy, digital readout's already there and illumination controlled etc. Hmmmmmmmmm, another beer or two called for here!

You could give it a go just need to find the same plug and wire it to the gauge wires, or find the wires under the plug find out which is for what then wire it to the 3 wire out the gauge plus an earth. Just for note 4 wires out back of gauge 1 earth, 2 12 volt running power, 1 sensor sender for water reading. Cheers

Hi all I think it would be best in my advise would be to keep both temp gauges seperate and fused accordingly plus keeping temp senders as they are Sorry guys but that’s only my advise

Hi all For anyone who would like to fit there own water temperature gauge I will now step by step on how to fit please allow about hour to 2hours start to finish! First things first need a water temperature gauge there are loads of different designs on the market so you choose what one you prefer, (I got this one www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Car-2-52mm-Blue-Digital-LED-Display-Water-Temp-Temperature-Gauge-Meter-20-150-C/152544579650?hash=item23845d9042:g:FuEAAOSwZe9bPDye ) then you will need radiator top pipe adapter make sure you get the right size as I got 38mm but it was a bit of a squeeze I would suggest getting 36mm www.ebay.co.uk/itm/38MM-Car-Water-Temperature-Temp-Sensor-Gauge-Radiator-Hose-Joint-Pipe-Adapter/152996936828?epid=7018532044&hash=item239f53fc7c:g:1-MAAOSwcs9a4Exl 38mm model but search eBay you will find the 36mm no problems.) also you will want a gauge pod for the gauge pod to go in( www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Universal-Car-2-52mm-Gauge-Single-Black-Gauge-Dash-Mount-Cup-Pod-Holder-UK/113157565094?_trkparms=aid%3D555017%26algo%3DPL.CASSINI%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D53530%26meid%3D343ccabe7dba4267a30ef547fdd044fc%26pid%3D100505%26rk%3D1%26rkt%3D1%26%26itm%3D113157565094&_trksid=p2045573.c100505.m3226%C2%A0 ) now I have covered the main items you will also need little bits. 8 amp wire, terminals and connectors set to put wires safety together but could also just use tap, crimp tool/wire cutters, and a add a fuse piggy back ( www.halfords.com/technology/car-audio/head-unit-accessories/autoleads-mini-blade-add-a-fuse?request_type=bestseller ) and also fuses for it ( www.halfords.com/workshop-tools/garage-equipment/fuses-electricals-fixings/halfords-assorted-mini-blade-fuses?_br_psugg_q=mini+blade+fuse ) Right now it’s time to go to the car and pop the bonnet undo the plastic cover for the radiator as it makes it easier to see where to cut the radiator hose and to fit adapter. I will now just post a link to a video on YouTube installing hose adapter( youtu.be/X1J_SgpgV68 ) please note this water temperature sender has the ground wire coming out of it to, mine has an ground screw on the hose adapter, both work fine) now get a little bit of wire to go from the ground wire on the hose adapter screw to a ground in the car engine bay.(will add photo) After you have done the hose adapter and fitter water temp sender, it’s time to fit the gauge into the pod and get the 4 wires out the back. You will need to use the 8amp wire to extend all of these wires, 2 wires (red and yellow) connects to thepiggy back add a fuse then go to the fuse box next to your feet in the drivers seat, locate cigarette lighter fuse take that out put the mini add a fuse piggyback in make sure you have added the extra fuses into the add a fuse piggy back before plugging into the fuse box.( 20amp at bottom 10amp at top) then the 3rd wire GREEN will need to connect thro the car to the engine bay to connect on the top of the water temp sender.(just too note I will add photos after as not letting me upload). 4th wire BLACK is a ground wire you can connect this to any good clean ground you can find I have actually put this thro to the water temp sender as I have put both grounds to the same place. When you have done all that now to check that it all works(should note at the start you should just do a little check to make sure all the items work!!) Put everything back together, tidy all wires, add some water now your ready to go enjoy your Antara knowing how hot it’s getting. Thanks
