Hi All I've got a 14 plate diamond 2.2 cdti fwd car drives fine when not towing caravan,as soon as I go uphill with van on car goes into limp mode!! Been into vauxhall on tech 2 diagnostic but no fault found? Changed the fuel filters but problem persists, any ideas? Fault code po2053 but that's generic for low fuel pressure.Warning light clears after driving without van on? 44000 on clock,I've had the car 3 years and only done 12000 in 3 yrs, serviced Etc

Hi Bob Welcome to the forum you do not say your Antara is manual or auto 1st thing I would have checked was both fuel filters fitted underneath vehicle but you have replaced these. Possible other things to check fuel tank cap seal is not damaged so not making air tight seal when fitted. Inside Fuel tank pick up pipe/strainer is not blocked you can get access via under rear seat. Or faulty or sticking EGR valve. Do you have a green tow hitch light come up when van is hooked up as this puts Antara into tow mode

Welcome to the forum bob71.
As always, start with the simple things as Big John says. 4000 miles a year might have a bearing here. Perhaps let the tank run down and then treat yourself to some Shell/Texaco premium fuel before taking it for a solo Italian tune-up on a long motorway, keeping the revs up a bit, to burn any junk out of the system. You never know - it worked on my cousin's Audi. I do it from time to time.
