It sounds like mine has succumbed to the wretched washer joint detachment in the rear offside quarter. I hear water gushing and the screen is dry. I have seen references in another place describing the easy repair but no details on how to remove or ease the inner trim above the rear quarterlight to access the pipe without forcing it and snapping something. Does anybody here know how to do it on a 2015 SE Nav?
Incidentally, the other place (which is a depository for the thousands of posts from Antara owners over the years) seems to be getting even more user unfriendly. General searches on the Internet on the washer problem show links to the other place - but they won't work. They always used to. Lately I have found that after Login to the other place I get motor-related adverts sent to me (to which I never consented) and curious emails from foreign parts which I certainly don't want. Coincidence? I don't think so.

It was the recent cold snap. Although I strengthened the screen wash mix in advance (I never buy the pre-mixed stuff) I didn't flush it through. We live and learn.
It grieves me to take something like this to a VX dealer when the basic repair is so simple (and it is a design fault because it has happened so many times to others) - particularly if it is bound with a copper wire to retain it. It is just the trim that is the problem - once damaged that's it for good.

Yes Dulac are you saying the lining is damaged and have you already taken it to VX dealer for repair ?

BJS - no, I tried with broad blade screwdrivers to ease it from the top and bottom but it felt that it wasn't going to go without something breaking..... I have always avoided trims and upholstery over the years for that reason. Hands like Oddjob in Goldfinger.

Thank you BJS. Good Luck with the move. We recently bought a bungalow in Suffolk and are (very slowly) moving there for good. Also, you don't have to take the 'van far for a break. North/north-west Kent is too busy for us now - even though it has a lot to offer - and London is just spreading out further. Time to let a younger family enjoy it - we did.
Does the trim just pull off do you know, or are there secret fixings that have to be treated very carefully?
