Hi Everyone,
I'm new to the club & recently bought a 2009 2.0 cdti Antara.
The manual doesn't state what type of power steering fluid or brake fluid to use when topping up.
Any help with pointing me in the right direction, would be very much appreciated?

Hello Paul and welcome to the club. For the power steering there's three alternatives (1) Transmax Dexron VI-Mercon LV. (2) ATF Dex II Multivehicle. General purpose mineral based automatic transmission and power steering fluid. Meets Dexron II specification. Can be replaced by Transmax Dex III Multivehicle. (3) Transmax Dex III Multivehicle General purpose mineral based automatic transmission and power steering fluid. Can be used in place of ATF Dex II Multivehicle. You can also buy generic power steering fluid in the likes of Wilco stores, just don't use brake fluid in it.
The correct brake fluid for your car is DOT4. If you don't know when it was last changed I'd recommend you change it. applications.castrol.com/oilselector/en_gb/?_ga=2.185682017.970119835.1497555816-1495721869.1495298923%20

Welcome to the forum paulm. If in doubt, go to your VX dealer and buy the fluids there. In the past I have found their prices competitive with (say) Halfords. I fully support Victor's recommendation to change the brake fluid if there is any doubt over its age: it will be money well spent. Ditto the coolant and anti freeze, which can just wear out. A lot of people just ignore this and then wonder why the ABS packs up or they get a freeze-up in the winter.
