I have been driving home tonight from work, when the Decent control, and Traction control amber warning lights came on, at the same time the accelerator pedal stopped working as i could not increase the engine RPM. The engine just ticks over, i have checked it on Tech 2 its coming up with accelerator pedal circuit A , does this mean it requires a new accelerator pedal . As anyone else come across this before . ....

I think it's the DESCENT Control rather than Decent Control but who knows, maybe you've got a special edition. Quite commonly it's a faulty ABS sensor that causes this but if you've got an indication that it's the pedal sensor you need to check that out and I thought Tech 2 would have given you more diagnostics into it. Just a thought, if your brake light switch is faulty it may be sending a signal to the ECU that the brakes are on in which case the ECU cuts power.

Today its been fault less, been all the way up to Fleetwood and back 140 miles and all sound, its been averaging 42 MPG at 65 MPH on cruise control etc. could not fault it. ....
